Integrations · Shopify
The customers and orders of your Shopify store, verified in bulk.
Nothing to install: export the customers or the orders from the Shopify admin, upload the file, download the result. The shipping address corrected before the parcel leaves, the customer list without duplicates, the emails that do not arrive flagged. The Shopify file is recognised on its own, column by column. Registers of 26 countries.
What you can verify
- The orders to ship·export the orders to fulfil and we verify the shipping address of each one: street, house number, postcode and city in the country's form, with the outcome row by row and the correct form beside it, to copy onto the order before printing the label
- The customer list·the default address of every customer verified, and deduplication: the same customer registered twice, with two emails or an address written in two ways, comes out in a single group with the main record marked
- Emails and phone numbers·with the same file: typos in the domain corrected, mailboxes that cannot receive flagged before the next campaign, numbers in international format
How it's done, in three steps
Export from Shopify
From the admin: “Customers” → “Export” for the customer list, or “Orders” → “Export” for the orders, as CSV. The file has Shopify's headers (“Default Address Address1”, “Shipping Address1”…): nothing needs renaming.
Upload the file and choose the service
In your account area you upload the file and choose: address verification, deduplication, emails or phones. The preview shows which columns we use; in orders it is the shipping address, billing stays in the file. Credit is deducted only when you start.
Download the result
As CSV or Excel, with all the Shopify columns intact and, beside them, ours: the correct form, the outcome and the reason for every row. Corrected customers are imported back into Shopify; orders are fixed from the order page.
The account is free, asks for no card and includes an allowance of operations every month. The format of the result is described in the file guide.
What happens to the file
- The columns·are recognised from the names Shopify writes: in customers the “Default Address” columns, in orders the “Shipping” ones; the other store columns (payment status, items, tags) stay as they are
- The items·in orders Shopify writes one row per item with the address only on the first one: the extra rows come out as they were and consume nothing
- The country·the country column of every row says which register to verify against; a store that ships to several countries has them all in the same file
- The outcome·for every row the outcome keywords, always the same, to filter in Excel (changed, postcode presumed, street not found…), and the reason beside it written in full; a row with nothing to report stays empty
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an app, or a token?
No. The work is done on the file exported from Shopify: you upload it in your account area, signed in, like any other file. The token is only needed by those who call the API.
Why don't you correct the address at checkout, as on WooCommerce?
Shopify's checkout cannot be changed by a plugin: Shopify opens it to apps only in stores on the Plus plan. That is why on Shopify the verification is done on the orders file, before printing the labels, and on the customer list.
Which columns do you recognise?
The ones Shopify writes in its files, without renaming anything: in customers “First Name”, “Last Name”, “Email”, “Phone” and the “Default Address …” columns (Address1, Address2, City, Province Code, Country Code, Zip); in orders “Shipping Name”, “Shipping Address1”, “Shipping Address2”, “Shipping City”, “Shipping Zip”, “Shipping Province”, “Shipping Country”, plus “Email” and “Phone”. The billing columns and the order columns stay in the file as they are.
What about orders with several items?
In the orders file Shopify writes one row per item and puts the address only on the first one. The rows of the additional items come out in the result as they were, with no outcome, and consume nothing: one order is one operation.
How do I bring the corrections back into Shopify?
For customers: in the result the corrected columns sit next to the original ones; copy the values into the Shopify columns and import the file again from “Customers”, with the option that overwrites existing customers with the same email. For orders there is no import: the address is corrected from the order page, before shipping.
Does it work for stores in other countries?
Yes, in the 26 countries in service. The country column that Shopify writes in every row says which register to verify against, and the address comes out in that country's form.
What does it consume?
Address verification and deduplication use one operation per row of the file; email and phone verification one per contact detail. Every month the first operations are free; beyond that, the packs and subscriptions on the pricing page. Rows without data are refunded.
Do you keep the store's data?
No. The file is processed and the result stays downloadable for thirty days, then it is deleted; the data is used for nothing else.
