The file as it is,
columns kept in place.

We accept CSV, Excel (.xlsx and .xls) and LibreOffice Calc (.ods): upload the file as it is, we read the first sheet. The first row must hold the column headers (the names below). The columns we don't need come back unchanged in the result.

  • From Excel: the native format (.xlsx) is fine, no need to "Save as CSV".
  • From LibreOffice: the native .ods format is fine.
  • The CSV can use a comma or a semicolon as separator: we detect it (UTF-8 or Latin-1).
  • After the upload we show you a preview with how many rows we read and what it uses, before starting.

Three steps you skip

Renaming the columns. We recognise the headers in the forms they are usually written: Tel. and Cellulare are the phone, E-Mail and Posta elettronica the email, Comune and Città the city, Ragione sociale and Denominazione the account holder. The full list is in the column table. Capitals, accents, dots and dashes don't matter. In the preview we tell you which columns we recognised and with which role: if we skipped one, you notice before starting.

Cleaning the file of the columns that don't concern us. The file comes back whole: in the result you find all your columns, in their original order, and at the end the ones we add — the normalised fields, the outcome and the reason. We overwrite nothing: the original data stays right there, so you can compare before replacing.

Removing the columns that don't concern us. Whoever works on behalf of a client often doesn't have the real data, only the code with which that client traces the contact: the ID of their system, the customer code or the codeline of the reply form. Leave it where it is, and with it the campaign name, internal notes, anything: it doesn't need to be written in a particular way, nor does the column name need to mean anything to us. Everything we don't process comes back in the result in the same position and with the same content — we add our columns at the end and don't touch yours. So every row hooks back into your database without having to trust the order. In the API the same goes for the id field: what you send comes back as it is in the response.

If you export in the classic mailing-house format — campagna, codicecliente, titolo, cognome, nome, aggiunte, edificio, indirizzo, cap, localita, provincia, sesso — upload it as it is: we recognise them all (aggiunte included, which is the c/o), and campagna and codicecliente come back untouched.

The columns we recognise

In the first column the name we use, then the other names we recognise it by. Capitals, accents, dots, dashes and spaces don't matter: E-Mail, e_mail and EMAIL are the same column. Header names are the Italian ones listed here. Each service uses only the columns it needs; the others come back unchanged.
