RadarAddress.
RadarWave is an Italian startup that builds subscription tools to process data. RadarAddress is its engine for putting customer records in order, in Italy and across Europe.
RadarAddress was born to solve one precise problem: normalising and correcting addresses, whether for a commercial invoice or for the letters that come back from the mailing campaigns of non-profit organisations. In fundraising a wrong address is not dirty data, it is a donor who doesn't receive the letter and, in the long run, stops giving. The same goes for a customer who receives the same communication twice because the database holds them written two ways, or for an invoice sent with a wrong tax code.
That is why the engine works on the whole: it doesn't look at one field at a time, it takes the entire record — address, city, province, email, phone, tax code — and rewrites it in the correct form. It recognises duplicate records even when they are written differently, and always says what it changed and why, or when the result is uncertain.
You can use it in three ways, with the same account: from the website, one item at a time; from an Excel or CSV file, for the whole database; from the API, inside your system or in your website form. The zoned postcodes of the big cities, the numbering of the Venice sestieri, municipalities with the same name in different provinces, localities to be brought back to their municipality: the engine solves them, not a hand-written list of exceptions.
Your data stays yours
Files are used only to process the job, stay downloadable for thirty days and are then deleted. No data is passed to external services, and credit is spent only when you confirm a job.
