Email verification inside AcyMailing: subscribers checked in bulk and at sign-up, certain typos corrected, the outcome in a custom field.

== Description ==

RadarAddress for AcyMailing checks the email addresses of your AcyMailing subscribers, without leaving AcyMailing.

**At sign-up.** Every new subscriber is checked while the form is sent: a certain typo is corrected (gmial.com → gmail.com), an address that cannot receive mail can be refused if you want. If RadarAddress does not answer, the subscription goes through as usual: nobody is ever lost because of us.

**In bulk.** Choose a list and start the check: the addresses are verified in the background and the outcome is written to each subscriber, even for lists of tens of thousands of addresses. You see how many are to check, how many already have an outcome and how many operations you have available before you start.

**What you get**

* Three custom fields on every subscriber: outcome, original email (when it was corrected), date of the check. Use them in AcyMailing filters and segments.
* Certain typos corrected, with the original kept; uncertain ones proposed, never applied.
* Optional: refuse at sign-up the addresses that cannot receive mail, or unsubscribe them from the lists you choose after a bulk check.
* With AcyMailing Enterprise: an automation action and a filter on the outcome.
* Interface in thirteen languages (English, Italian, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Danish, Icelandic, Greek).

**How it works**

1. Create a free account on radaraddress.com: every month a number of checks is free.
2. Create an API token in your personal area.
3. In AcyMailing → Add-ons, open the RadarAddress settings, paste the token and press «Verify».

Beyond the free checks of the month, packs and monthly subscriptions are on radaraddress.com. The plugin itself is free.

== Installation ==

1. Install and activate AcyMailing (version 10 or later).
2. Install this plugin from Plugins → Add New, or upload the zip, and activate it.
3. AcyMailing → Add-ons: open the RadarAddress settings and paste your API token.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Can a subscription be lost because of the check? =

No. If RadarAddress does not answer, or answers with an error, the subscriber is added as usual, without an outcome. Refusing addresses that cannot receive mail is an option, off unless you turn it on.

= Does it change the email of a subscriber by itself? =

Only for a certain typo, and only if the option is on: the original address is kept in the «original email» field. Uncertain corrections are only proposed in the outcome.

= Do my subscribers get an email from RadarAddress? =

No. The check does not send anything to the address: it looks at the address, the domain and whether the domain can receive mail.

= What if two subscribers end up with the same address after a correction? =

The correction is not applied and the outcome says so: AcyMailing never gets two subscribers with the same email.

= Is my data kept? =

Addresses are processed to give the result and then deleted; the result of a bulk check is available for 30 days, then deleted. The data stays in the European Union.

== External services ==

This plugin connects to the RadarAddress API, a service run by RadarWave (the author of this plugin), to verify email addresses. It does nothing until you paste your own API token in AcyMailing → Add-ons → RadarAddress.

* **What is sent and when:** when someone subscribes through an AcyMailing form, the email address they typed is sent to be checked; when you start a bulk check, the email addresses of the chosen list, each with its AcyMailing subscriber ID, are sent as a background job, and the plugin then downloads the results of that job. Your API token is sent with every request to identify your account. The settings page also asks the API for the operations still available on your account.
* **Where:** https://www.radaraddress.com/api/v1/ (the calls are made by your site's server; the token never reaches the browser).
* **Terms of use:** https://www.radaraddress.com/en/terms
* **Privacy policy:** https://www.radaraddress.com/en/privacy-policy

== Changelog ==

= 1.0.5 =
* Registered through the AcyMailing integrations hook (AcyMailing 10 or later): the add-on stays in the plugin folder, nothing is copied elsewhere. Calls through the WordPress HTTP API. An installation of an earlier version is converted by AcyMailing, settings kept.

= 1.0.4 =
* If the site keys change, the saved token is no longer read as random characters: it is treated as missing and asked again.

= 1.0.3 =
* Works on Joomla 6 without the backward compatibility plugin (same code as the WordPress plugin).

= 1.0.2 =
* One click on «Start the check» starts it; the count also says how many subscribers the list has, how many already have an outcome and how many operations are available.

= 1.0.1 =
* Wider settings card; the browser no longer offers saved passwords in the token field.

= 1.0.0 =
* First release: bulk check of subscribers with the outcome in a custom field, certain typos corrected, optional unsubscription, check at sign-up, action and filter for Enterprise.
